Blank destacking systems feed most different kinds of presses (press lines, transfer presses, gripper transfer presses and crossbar transfer presses) with sheet metals (blanks).
Destacking blanks first of all requires a precise and individual removal of one blank from the stack of blanks.
By means of special developed fanner magnets the blanks are magnetically spread. A special NSM-air knife is used for fanning aluminium blanks from the blank stack.
The blanks are taken up by suction cups or by magnetic systems. As far as double blanks cannot be avoided to be picked up due to adhesion, a double blank detection systems as a rule removes the double blanks from the production flow. The picked-up blank is passed on to a feeder by a multilane toothed belt conveyor or is passed on to the gripper transfer of the press.
A programmable centring device aligns the blanks in correct position before they are transferred to the press.
Dependent on the requested design of the blank destacking system, the blanks can be washed and lubricated as they are on their way to the press.
